Choice Blends is a new feature, replacing Apples of Gold on my Sips 'n Cups Cafe blog,. showcasing devotional writings submitted by Christian writers around the globe. 

Now taking submissions.

Submissions should be by writers about writing, but may also cover 'slice of life' thoughts along the writing journey. Your submissions may take the form of the standard devotion format, or could be a prayer, even a poem, as long as the content is suitable. We strongly urge you to visit Choice Blends at the Sips 'n Cups Cafe blog to sample the flavor and atmosphere of the blog before submitting.

Preferred length: 500-1500 words, including any scripture, but excluding your title, byline and bio. Sips 'n Cups Cafeteria will consider longer pieces at times, provided the content merits the additional space. But please query first.

Submit via email to: Choice Blends Please do not change the subject line. If you originate the email in a separate mailing, be sure your subject line reads: Apples of Gold.

Be sure your submission has a title. Submissions may be in the body of the email or as an attachment using Word, RTF, or plain text (i.e. Notepad). Note: all submissions will be formatted to fit the blog, but no text will be altered without your prior consent. But I don't foresee this happening if all guidelines are followed.

There is no pay, but submissions accepted will be given full attribution. In addition, you may also send with your submission a graphic of yourself or something that matches your devotion (jpg or gif format only). These graphics will also be resized to fit if necessary. Please feel free to send any links to your Web site and/or blog you wish included in your post. Note: please send all graphics as attachments, NOT in the body of your email. I sometimes have trouble extracting pictures from the email itself. Thank you.

All contributors will be listed in the Choice Blends Roll on the blog and will include one link of your choice. All contributions posted will be listed in the Choice Blends Archives and will provide a permanent link to your post for as long as the Sips 'n Cups Cafe blog remains in existence. When you click on the link to your post, simply copy the URL shown in your web browser and paste it on your website or blog.

While not required, we respectfully request a link back to the Sips 'n Cups Cafe blog. Or, if you prefer, we can provide you with an Choice Blends logo and a link to place on your blog and/or your own Web site as a Choice Blends Contributor. This way we all win. (Use the Contact button above to request the Choice Blends logo, please.)

NEW: These writings will be featured daily Monday-Friday each week. This will provide more opportunity for you to submit your work.

Submissions accepted will be acknowledged via return email  whenever possible with a notice of the posting date and schedule for Choice Blends.
